The Research on Jasmine Plant
According to a research led by Dr. Bryan Raudenbush, assistant professor of psychology at the Wheeling Jesuit University, the release of jasmine scent into a room of sleeping participants improved their quality of sleep and lowered sleep movements.
Moreover, they concluded that the quality of sleep was much better, even when it lasted shortly. The participants reported feeling less anxious and calmer and were able to solve their cognitive tests faster.
Jasmine essential oil is one of the best ways to naturally elevate your mood, balance the hormones, reduce anxiety, better your quality of sleep, and reduce tiredness.

Caring for a Jasmine Plant
Indoor jasmine plants can be placed outdoors in the summer in a sunny area to encourage a healthy and proper growth. The flowers appear during the autumn and if they do not bloom, they may not have been exposed to sufficiently cool temperatures.
When indoors, put the jasmine plant near a south window. As it is a vigorous climber plant, it needs the adequate support or indoor trellis.
Make sure there is also a proper flow of air and take into account that the plant can tolerate up to four hours of direct sunlight per day from late spring to fall. Therefore, lower the exposure to direct sunlight in winter.
What about the soil? The soil for this plant needs to be porous and mixed with some coir or bark or other organic material.
Maintain it moist throughout the whole year, but make sure you do not overwater it. When there is a bloom decline during the resting period, minimize the watering.
